The Iranian Armed Forces have announced that they carried out a missile strike against U.S. military targets in Jordan, describing the operation as retaliation for recent American attacks on Iranian positions.
According to reports published by Iranian state media, 12 ballistic missiles were launched toward the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Azraq, where, according to Tehran, U.S. fighter jets and military infrastructure were stationed.
The official statement said the targets included F-35, F-15, and F-16 aircraft, as well as the command center and other military facilities at the base, which is considered one of the key allied air force locations in the region.
So far, there has been no official response from U.S. authorities regarding possible damage or casualties, and the claims made by the Iranian side cannot be independently verified.
The latest incident further deepens tensions between Washington and Tehran and raises concerns that the conflict could escalate into a broader regional crisis in the Middle East.
