Kuwait International Airport has resumed normal operations after authorities lifted the temporary closure of the country’s airspace, which had been imposed due to security concerns arising from the latest escalation in the Middle East.

The decision to suspend civilian air traffic came after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced missile attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in the region, including sites in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain.

Amid growing uncertainty, Kuwaiti authorities temporarily closed the airspace as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and civil aviation. Following security assessments, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation announced that the risk level had decreased and that all airport operations had returned to normal.

Despite the reopening of the airspace, government institutions and security agencies remain on high alert and continue to closely monitor developments in the region due to the possibility of further security threats.

The latest events have once again highlighted the instability in the Middle East, with several countries introducing additional measures to protect critical infrastructure and civilian air traffic.
