Ukrainian drone strikes overnight on July 22 sparked massive fires across southern Russia and triggered widespread power outages in occupied Crimea, according to monitoring channels and local reporting. The attacks targeted key energy infrastructure on the occupied peninsula alongside commercial logistics hubs deep within Russian territory.
In occupied Crimea, Ukrainian drone strikes hit critical electrical substations in Massandra, Yalta, and Alushta, cutting electricity across major portions of the southern coast.
Meanwhile, in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, strikes hit a fulfillment facility belonging to e-commerce giant Wildberries, damaging adjacent parking areas and residential structures. A second Wildberries logistics center in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai, was also struck, igniting a massive blaze.
The overnight operation marks the fourth time in less than a week that Wildberries infrastructure has been targeted, following previous strikes in Moscow and Tambov oblasts. The ongoing barrage forms part of Kyiv’s intensified campaign to disrupt Russian supply lines, military logistics, and regional energy grids supporting Moscow’s war effort.
