Olivia Wilde is back on the promo circuit, and so is the Don’t Worry Darling discourse that never really left the internet.

The actor and director has been promoting her new movie, The Invite, while also revisiting the wave of scrutiny that followed her 2022 thriller. In recent interviews, Wilde rejected past claims of a blowout argument with Florence Pugh and said the public version of events made her feel trapped inside a character she did not recognise.

“I have never had a screaming match on my set,” Wilde said, denying one of the most repeated allegations from the film’s turbulent rollout.

But not everyone is ready to close the case. Fans and commenters have pointed back to the unresolved “Miss Flo” episode, the leaked video message in which Wilde appeared to urge Shia LaBeouf to stay with the project before Harry Styles replaced him.

At the time, Wilde had said LaBeouf’s departure was tied to protecting Pugh and maintaining the atmosphere she wanted on set. LaBeouf later pushed back, sharing messages and materials that suggested he had chosen to leave over rehearsal concerns. The leaked video, where Wilde referred to Pugh as “Miss Flo,” became a defining piece of internet evidence for critics who felt the story had not been fully explained.

Pugh has not publicly addressed the speculation in detail. Her limited promotion of Don’t Worry Darling, including skipping a Venice press conference, has continued to fuel fan theories about what happened behind the scenes.
