Italian tennis player and world number one Jannik Sinner is currently in a recovery phase and undergoing detailed medical assessments after an intense stretch of competitions, having recently been monitored by experts at the “San Raffaele” clinic in Milan.
According to reports, Sinner underwent a series of tests to evaluate his physical condition following a demanding schedule, and the results showed no serious health problems. This means the Italian star will soon return to full training.
The medical checks come after the issues he experienced during his appearance at Roland Garros, where he was eliminated by Argentina’s Juan Manuel Cerúndolo in the early stages of the tournament. During that match, Sinner suffered from cramps and signs of exhaustion, raising concern within his coaching team.
Medical assessments suggest that his difficulties were not caused by injury or illness, but rather a combination of physical fatigue, insufficient hydration, and an extremely heavy workload over the past months. The demanding tournament schedule and constant fight for major titles have taken a toll on his physical condition.
Additional factors included difficult weather conditions in Paris, with high temperatures further complicating recovery between matches. From Indian Wells to the Rome Masters final, Sinner played as many as 29 matches, clearly highlighting the intensity of his schedule.
Due to this rhythm, Sinner’s team has decided to prioritize full regeneration and recovery before the next part of the season. As a precaution, he will skip the grass-court tournaments in Halle and Queen’s, which traditionally serve as preparation for Wimbledon.
