The Kremlin stated Monday that it has received no concrete or tangible details regarding new peace settlement proposals for Ukraine, dismissing recent reports of a potential “air ceasefire” initiative as mere rumor ahead of high-level talks in Washington.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov addressed reports that U.S. and Ukrainian officials had been discussing a proposal to present to Moscow, specifically centered around a mutual pause on aerial and missile strikes. Speaking to reporters, Peskov clarified that while Russia is aware of the press reports, no official suggestions or specifics have been communicated to Moscow, characterizing the claims as “nothing more than media speculation”. The statement comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy prepares to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on Tuesday.

Peskov also brushed off recent assertions by Zelenskyy alleging that Moscow is preparing to deploy 30,000 North Korean troops to Russia’s western Voronezh region, declining to comment directly and stating that it was not for the Ukrainian leader to speak on Russian military planning.
