Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami by the U.S. Marshals Service as British prosecutors said they would seek their extradition on rape, trafficking and other charges.

Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service said the brothers face further charges linked to alleged offences between July 2010 and August 2017. Prosecutors said the new charges involve four additional victims.

Malcolm McHaffie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said prosecutors had decided to pursue further offences including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, and offences relating to indecent images of a child.

The Tate brothers, who hold dual U.S. and British citizenship, deny any wrongdoing.

Their arrest marks another escalation in the legal cases surrounding the brothers, who rose to global prominence through social media content focused on wealth, masculinity and male dominance. Andrew Tate has previously described himself as a misogynist.

The brothers already face separate criminal proceedings in Romania, where authorities have investigated them since December 2022. They have also denied wrongdoing in that case.

Andrew Tate is also due to face a civil case in Britain brought by four women over alleged physical and sexual abuse.
