Apple is heading into one of its most important developer conferences in years as investors and developers await the next phase of its AI strategy.
WWDC 2026 begins on June 8, and expectations are high that Apple will unveil major upgrades to Siri, expand Apple Intelligence and introduce deeper AI integration across iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple Watch platforms.
While competitors such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Microsoft have moved aggressively in generative AI, Apple has taken a slower approach focused on privacy and on-device processing.
The conference could determine whether Apple is viewed as a leader or a follower in the next stage of the AI race.
