The International Monetary Fund has lowered its outlook for global economic growth, warning that rising geopolitical tensions and energy market disruptions are creating new risks for the world economy.

According to the IMF’s latest projections, global growth is expected to remain below pre-pandemic averages while inflation pressures persist in several major economies. The organization warned that prolonged instability in the Middle East could significantly worsen economic conditions worldwide.

Economists increasingly fear that the world economy is entering a period where geopolitical crises, rather than traditional financial factors, become the main drivers of economic uncertainty.
