The San Antonio Spurs found a way through a messy Summer League night, beating the Milwaukee Bucks 90-80 in Las Vegas after building an early cushion they never fully gave back.
R.J. Davis led San Antonio with 20 points, three assists and two steals as the Spurs improved to 2-1 at the 2026 NBA Summer League. Emanuel Miller and Ja’Kobi Gillespie added 13 points each, while Hyunjung Lee gave the bench a lift with 12 points and three rebounds.
The game was effectively shaped in the first quarter. San Antonio opened with a 25-10 burst at Cox Pavilion, and Milwaukee spent the rest of the night chasing a gap that never closed enough to flip the pressure.
The numbers told a strange story. The Spurs shot only 36.4% from the floor and 21.9% from 3-point range, while the Bucks were sharper at 42.6% overall and 44.4% from deep.
But Milwaukee could not punish San Antonio’s mistakes. The Bucks forced 23 Spurs turnovers and finished with a 19-12 edge in assists, yet they never got closer than six points after the opening seven minutes.
Brayden Burries, Milwaukee’s first-round pick, gave Bucks fans something to track with 26 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Cormac Ryan added 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and four steals off the bench.
The pressure is now on Milwaukee, which dropped to 0-2 and faces the Phoenix Suns on Monday. San Antonio waits until Wednesday for its next test against the Utah Jazz.
