Iron Maiden are taking their next act beyond the stage, selling half of their music and likeness rights to Pophouse Entertainment in a deal that points straight at the future of legacy rock.

The agreement gives Pophouse a 50% stake in the heavy metal band’s music and name, image and likeness rights. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Pophouse has built its reputation around entertainment projects that keep older catalogues alive in new formats, including London’s ABBA Voyage and an upcoming avatar production with KISS. For Iron Maiden, the move follows earlier work with the company on the Infinite Dreams Museum, a project exploring the band’s history.

Longtime manager Rod Smallwood said the partnership would help the band move faster on projects it has been planning. “I am very excited about our relationship with Pophouse and the ability we now have to pursue, facilitate, and finance our many plans and dreams quicker than we ever hoped,” he said.

That matters for a band whose world has always stretched beyond albums and tours. Iron Maiden’s mascot Eddie has appeared across artwork, games, comics and stage productions, making the group’s visual identity almost as recognisable as its riffs.

Co-manager Dave Shack said the band’s creative universe still has room to expand. “The band provides the cornerstone of what Maiden is, superlative music and incredible live shows, and the Phantom Team have focused on developing parts of Maiden lore that we think our fans will embrace and enjoy,” he said.

Iron Maiden recently wrapped European dates and are due to head to North America with Megadeth and Anthrax as support.
