The United States carried out a seventh consecutive night of military airstrikes against Iran, expanding its campaign to target critical infrastructure and degrade Tehran’s military capabilities. U.S. Central Command confirmed the deployment of warships, drones, and fighter jets to strike surveillance networks, ammunition depots, and transit paths while strictly enforcing a naval blockade against Iranian ports. The latest wave of attacks heavily damaged bridges in the southern Hormozgan province and destroyed a strategic maritime surveillance tower at Chabahar Port, prompting Iran’s Energy Ministry to urge citizens to ration electricity following strikes on the regional power grid.

Tehran swiftly retaliated by launching drones and missiles at U.S. military facilities and allied nations across the Middle East, striking targets in Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, and Qatar. While Qatari air defenses intercepted incoming threats, falling debris reportedly injured a child, and Jordan’s military confirmed it shot down multiple missiles entering its airspace. The ongoing military escalation has severely disrupted international trade, freezing commercial shipping traffic through the crucial Strait of Hormuz and driving global Brent crude oil prices near a one-month high above 86 dollars per barrel.
