Jude Bellingham turned savior for England once again on Saturday, netting a magnificent brace to guide the Three Lions to a 2-1 extra-time comeback victory over Norway in an enthralling World Cup quarterfinal at Miami Stadium. The 23-year-old midfielder’s heroics ensured Thomas Tuchel’s squad booked their spot in the final four, setting up a blockbuster semifinal clash against Argentina in Atlanta.

Norway initially broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when young winger Andreas Schjelderup cut inside from the left flank and squeezed a spectacular, tight-angled strike past Jordan Pickford off the inside of the far post. England, struggling to find operational rhythm against a highly disciplined Norwegian defensive shape, found a crucial equalizer deep into first-half stoppage time. Bellingham showcased his elite spatial awareness, drifting into the penalty area to expertly escape his marker and fire a composed low effort into the bottom-right corner.

The match escalated in drama during the second half as a potential Norway goal from a set-piece was chalked off by a VAR review due to an Erling Haaland push on Elliot Anderson. With the sides deadlocked at full-time, England wasted no time asserting authority in extra time. Just three minutes into the first added period, Morgan Rogers unleashed a fierce curling strike that goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland failed to clean up, allowing a relentless Bellingham to react fastest and poke home the match-winning rebound.
