Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Tuesday that it launched a targeted barrage of missiles and drones against U.S. military positions in Bahrain and Kuwait, aiming to disable American air defense networks and surveillance coverage across the Gulf.
According to Iranian state news agency IRNA, the strikes hit two Patriot air defense batteries and radar installations at U.S. outposts in Bahrain, alongside long-range radar systems, satellite facilities, and drone hangars at Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base.
The IRGC described the offensive as a strategic “radar sweep” intended to blind coalition early-warning capabilities, warning that the maneuver paves the way for “even more decisive and powerful waves of drone and missile attacks”.
The retaliatory strikes followed a tenth consecutive night of U.S. bombardments targeting Iranian command centers, air defense positions, and coastal missile launch sites. As warning sirens sounded across Kuwait and Bahrain, the U.S. State Department issued a worldwide security alert urging American citizens to exercise heightened caution amid the rapidly expanding Middle East conflict.
